I was asked today to be an adjudicator for the National Fish and Chips Awards 2019 Top 20 Draw. The Top 20 were announced earlier today and normally the two in the Northwest would go head to head to reach the final in London in January, as would the two for Northern Ireland and so on for the 10 regions.
This year, to try to improve the awards, the top 20 will all face opponents in a football competition style draw. This draw was to take place at Miller’s of Haxby, National Winners in 2018 of the Independent Takeaway category, the flagship award.
It was an honour to play a part in the first draw and I wish all the top 20 the best of luck.
