I am currently enroute to my second Curry Awards of the last week. I work with the other cuisines through my involvement with the British Takeaway Campaign so it’s great to learn more about their industries and what pressures they are facing.
The event took place at the Hilton, Park Lane London. I had stayed here way back in 1986 but this time I had to make do with a Premier Inn!
I was invited to the awards due to my Industry role as President of the NFFF but also we are members of the British Takeaway Campaign, a group founded by Just Eat to help give a collective voice to the takeaway sector!
the evening started early with a small exhibition of equipment, food suppliers and an Indian London Gin.. I hung around this stand a bit longer than the others although the measures were small lol.
I have been in fish and chips for 21 years and currently hold the position on President of the National Federation of Fish Friers
