I was honoured to be invited to a surprise party for Richard Ord, owner of Colman’s of South Shields. It was to mark Richards 50th anniversary in fish and chips and was held at Colman’s Seafood Temple
As part of my role as President of the NFFF I was delighted to present Richard with a small token of the regard we hold him in.
Around 150 of my industry friends descended on South Shields in radio silence to keep the party a secret.
The drinks were flowing as the fish and chip gang (and especially Richard Jnr) know how to throw a party!
Richard is one of if not the most influential in the business. He has been at the top of the industry for many years and it is a privilege to call the Ord’s friends.
